Cutisin Fine is a market-leading, improved, edible collagen casing suitable especially for production of smoked and cooked meat products like frankfurters or dry smoked pork sausages.
Cutisin Fine is a delicate casing, which adds more tenderness to the cured meat, characterized by flexibility, providing smooth and easy production process. Ready made cured meats in Fine casings is characterized by greatly enhanced taste and natural appearance, similar to products packed in natural lamb intestines.
The casings ensure exceptional smok absorption and permeability to steam, which results in cured meat being easily digestible and well assimilable.
Advantages of casings
- The casing does not require any previous preparations and is suitable for usage directly after opening the box.
- Fine casings can be used with almost all sorts of cured meat.
- They can be used for semi-automatic production, i.e. with open ends (OE) or closed ends (CE) for automatic stuffers.
- Cured meat manufactured in Cutisin Fine casings can be smoked in the most typical conditions, and steamed in the temperature up to 75°C. It is recommended to cool the cured meat with cold water after thermal processing is finished.
- Casings are suitable for using in all cold and hot smoke curing programs.
- Available gauges: from Ø18 to Ø33 in clear, caramel and smoke colors.
Packing:
Casings are normally delivered in cardboard boxes, resistant to humidity and air.
Storage:
In order to ensure trouble-free manufacture and optimum use of casings, it is necessary to store them in a dry place, in a temperature between +5°C do 25°C, avoiding the exposition of the product to the direct action of heat sources as well as to the risk of physical damage.

Cutisin CRE is an edible collagen casing (ring shaped) for thermal processing and dry meat manufacture. They are used for raw and cooked products. It perfectly imitates natural intestines. The product is intended for use with every kind of machine, including the ones with an automated hanger. The product is ready for processing right after being taken out of the box, without needing soaking. When using this casing you save the time, lower the costs, and the final customer will receive an attractive looking product. We also offer closed end (CE) casings for automated casing feed machines.
